October 2022 – Vanadinite

The mineral of the month October is vanadinite. Autumn is here and the paths are covered with beautiful red foliage. This beautiful mineral shows its typical orange-red color to match. In large localities, as for example in Morocco, one can quickly get the impression that autumn meadows are to be seen here. Ground to a fine powder vanadinite shows a yellow color and is therefore also used as a yellow pigment.
