Ore Mineralogy

Many minerals are needed for everyday applications. Therefore, these topics are also highly prevalent in the media (e.g. critical raw materials, conflict minerals). The scientific study of raw materials and ores is therefore also relevant for business and industry. The team of the Mineralogische Staatssammlung particularly studies deposits associated with nickel, copper, cobalt, chromium and platinum group elements.
