Retrospective: Tourmaline

Temporary exhibition 25.11.2020 – 31.05.2021

Tourmalines are exciting and diverse minerals. They show a great variety of colors and interesting and enchanting structures. In the current temporary exhibition we show you approximately 800 tourmalines from all over the world. As part of this temporary exhibition, Dr. Paul Rustemeyer impressively shows what tourmalines look like from the inside and what thin sections reveal about the growth and change of a tourmaline. Display boards and videos explain the special phenomena we can observe in tourmalines.
